Hi Reader, I'm back!

It's been 3 weeks since my last newsletter...

I've been to New Zealand on a work trip, I went to the Melbourne Motor Show, I travelled to Philip Island to shoot GT3 race cars for the Shannons SpeedSeries, I've been doing weekly lectures at the university and I've been pushing out daily content on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube Shorts.

So I've guess I've been busy... But...

Whilst that all may sound like a lot, I've also still procrastinated, wasted time, missed writing newsletters for you and doom scrolled when I shouldn't have been.

Despite always preaching about consistency and discipline, I still struggle with it myself sometimes.

For my first newsletter back, I wanted to take this opportunity to cut through the facade of social media and let you know that I still don't have everything figured out and I still don't really know what I'm doing.

Sometimes things still slip through the cracks and I have periods of time where I'm in a bit of a slump, as I'm sure we all do.

But you know what?

I pretty grateful to have the opportunity to wake up each day and just be a little bit better.

And despite all the ups and downs, I'm stoked to be on this journey and a pathway where I get the luxury to chase my dreams.

I worked in the hospitality industry for 9 years washing dishes, cooking food and making coffees while finishing high school and studying at university.

I studied a Diploma and an Honours Degree in Industrial Design for 8 years.

I worked in a 9-5 corporate job for 6 years that I started hating 2 years in doing design, project management and lecturing.

And right now I would still take a "tough day" in what I do now over "good day" doing anything that I used to do.

So wherever you're up to on your journey and whatever challenges you are facing:

As long as you're just focussing on getting a little bit better then that's all you can do.

Before I go, here's a quick quote from James Clear, author of Atomic Habits, that I came across recently that I think might relate to what I'm talking about above:

"In theory, consistency is about being disciplined, determined, and unwavering.

In practice, consistency is about being adaptable. Don't have much time? Scale it down. Don't have much energy? Do the easy version. Find different ways to show up depending on the circumstances. Let your habits change shape to meet the demands of the day.

Adaptability is the way of consistency."
